The Modern Way to Store
We’re not your typical self storage company, and that’s exactly the point
JamStorage offers a self store to your door approach. We are usually 50% cheaper than normal self storage companies and a lot easier to deal with.
Storage in Streatham
JamStorage collects belongings from addresses across SW16, keeps them in a secure, CCTV monitored warehouse, and returns them to any London address on request. There is no building for you to visit and no van for you to hire. It is storage that comes to your door and comes back when you ask.
Streatham is one of London’s most flat-heavy neighbourhoods. Its streets went up between 1878 and 1914 across estates like Telford Park around Killieser Avenue, Coventry Park near the Common, Leigham Court with its redbrick “ABC avenues”, and Roupell Park to the north. Most of those large Victorian and Edwardian houses have since been split into one- and two-bedroom flats, and a converted flat rarely comes with a loft, a garage, or anywhere to put the things you are not using. Space here is tight, and it costs. Flats in Streatham sold for an average of around £405,000 over the last year, so paying to store seasonal items or furniture off site often makes more sense than paying for a bigger flat to hold them.
The people who live here reflect that. Streatham draws a lot of young professionals and families, and a high proportion rent rather than own, which is typical of the wider London Borough of Lambeth. Renters moving between tenancies, couples merging or separating households, and families whose belongings have outgrown a conversion flat all need somewhere to keep things for a while. So do homeowners improving their properties. Streatham’s Victorian and Edwardian terraces are constantly being extended and refurbished, and when a room comes out of use for building work, there is usually nowhere on site to put its contents. We can collect it and look after it until the work is done.
We cover the whole of SW16 and the streets around it. That means Streatham Hill and Leigham Court Road at the northern end, central Streatham off the High Road on roads like Woodfield Avenue and Gleneagle Road, Streatham Common, and the quieter southern reaches of Streatham Vale and Norbury towards the Croydon border. Streatham High Road, one of the longest high streets in London, runs right through the middle of it. Wherever you are along it, from the flats above the shops to the terraces on the residential streets behind, we can collect from your door.

Parking and Collections in Streatham
Streatham High Road is the A23, a busy A-road with bus lanes, bus stops, and double yellow lines along most of its length. For a flat on or just off the High Road, that sounds like a problem, but it rarely is. Our team arrives in a small van rather than a removal lorry, so a collection is a brief, planned stop or a quick pull-in on a side street, much closer to a supermarket delivery than a house move. On the residential streets behind the High Road, several Controlled Parking Zones now operate, including Streatham Hill East and West, St Leonard’s North and Central, Stanthorpe Triangle, and the newer Streatham Wells zone launched in April 2025, which covers streets between Leigham Court Road, Valley Road, Oakdale Road, and the High Road. Most of these zones only restrict parking for a couple of hours around the middle of the day, so mornings and later afternoons tend to be clear, and a short collection is usually straightforward. Towards Streatham Vale and Norbury the streets are wider and quieter, which makes access easier still.
None of this needs to be your worry. If there is something specific about your address, a gated entrance, no obvious stopping point, or a narrow service road, just mention it when you book and we will plan around it.
