How much do I need for one box?

It depends on how much empty space you’re filling rather than the size of the box itself. A 0.8 cu ft bag comfortably fills the gaps around a few smaller fragile items, so if you’ve got several boxes with room to spare, it’s worth ordering more than one bag.

Are packing peanuts enough to protect something fragile on their own?

For anything genuinely delicate, wrap the item first, in bubble wrap or even a towel, then use the peanuts to fill whatever space is left in the box. The peanuts stop things moving around, the wrap protects the item directly.

Can I reuse packing peanuts?

Yes. If a box arrives with peanuts in it, they’ll do the same job again in your next box or when you’re packing something into storage.
