The Modern Way to Store
We’re not your typical self storage company, and that’s exactly the point
JamStorage offers a self store to your door approach. We are usually 50% cheaper than normal self storage companies and a lot easier to deal with.
Storage in Chingford
JamStorage is a collection and delivery storage service for Chingford and the wider E4 postcode. We collect your belongings from your door, store them in secure, sealed units, and bring back whatever you need on request. You don’t visit a building, hire a van, or lift a thing. That’s the whole service.
Most of Chingford is inter-war and post-war semi-detached housing, with Victorian and Edwardian terraces around Station Road and Old Church Road in North Chingford. These homes tend to have small lofts, a modest or converted garage, and no basement, so built-in space runs out quickly once a family starts collecting furniture and seasonal kit. With the average sold price in Chingford at £557,548, and semi-detached homes averaging £691,381, stretching to a larger property just to gain a spare room costs far more than storing the things you rarely use. For most households here, paying to store the overflow is the more practical sum.
Chingford is a settled, owner-occupier area. You’ll find established families in those semis, older residents looking to downsize, and younger households making the most of the space they have. Its position on the edge of Epping Forest shapes what people need to store, too. Chingford is one of the main access points to the forest, and homes near Chingford Plain and Pole Hill are full of bikes, walking and camping gear, and seasonal sports equipment that’s bulky and awkward to keep indoors all year. Renovation is another common trigger. Older properties here are often bought to improve, and clearing rooms for building work means the contents need somewhere to go. Storage is there for the harder moments as well, whether that’s sorting a family home after a bereavement, keeping belongings safe during a separation, or making room while a home is repaired after a flood or fire.
We collect right across E4, from North Chingford and South Chingford to Chingford Mount, Chingford Hatch, Friday Hill and Highams Park. Whether you’re on Kings Head Hill, off Chingford Mount Road, over towards Sewardstone Road and the forest boundary, or on the Friday Hill estate, we can reach you. This is a neighbourhood service that sits within our wider storage coverage across Waltham Forest, so wherever you are in the borough, we’ve got you covered.

Parking and Collections in Chingford
Parking in Chingford varies by street. Kings Head Hill, the A110, is a busy arterial road with double yellow lines and no-loading restrictions from Monday to Friday, 7am to 7pm, so it’s not a road for a vehicle to stop and load during the working week. Instead we’ll park close by and carry things over to the van. Station Road in North Chingford has pay-and-display bays and gets busy at peak times, and since Waltham Forest removed free 15-minute parking across its bays in 2025 there are no short free stops there any more. The residential roads off Chingford Mount Road, across Chingford Hatch, and on the Friday Hill estate are generally quieter and easier to reach. Controlled parking zones exist around the station area, so permit restrictions may apply on some side streets near the town centre.
For most collections, none of this gets in the way. A collection is much closer to a supermarket delivery than a house move. We arrive in a smaller van, load up, and we’re on our way, and many Chingford homes have their own driveway, which makes it simpler again. Our team knows these streets well and is used to working them. If you have any concerns about access, parking or timing at your address, just flag them when you book and we’ll plan around it.
