Parking and Collections in Walthamstow
Most of the residential streets around Walthamstow Central, Hoe Street and the wider Victorian terrace grid sit within Controlled Parking Zones, so on-street bays are permit-only during CPZ hours. The permit zones have grown in recent years, with further E17 streets brought into the scheme in October 2025. Victorian terraces here rarely have off-road parking, since the front door opens straight onto the pavement, and the High Street corridor has extra restrictions while Walthamstow Market is trading, Tuesday to Saturday. None of this tends to hold up a collection. Our team arrives in a smaller van, and in the vast majority of cases collection day is straightforward.
Working in converted houses and flats is a normal part of the day for us in E17. Narrow stairs and no lift are the rule rather than the exception across much of Walthamstow, and our team is used to handling them. Belated review, but I wanted to acknowledge the professional help I received from JamVans with moving out, storage, and delivery earlier this year. Special thanks to Micheal W and Louise. They were very professional from the start, made me feel well taken care of, and answered all the questions I had. On the moving day, only one lift was working in the building and they worked tirelessly to collect all the items from the 15th floor. They also helped with disassembling the standing desks which seems little but it saved me a lot of time. I hope to meet them again when I move out (again) later this month. On that note, I would also like to thank Jake Arrowsmith-Watts for his help over the phone, patiently answering all my questions, and for his kindness throughout.
