Parking and Collections in Deptford
Parking in Deptford depends on which street you’re on. Lewisham Council runs three controlled parking zones across the area. Deptford (DP) and Deptford South (DS) both operate Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, while Deptford Central (S) runs Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm, and again on Saturday mornings from 9am to 1.30pm.
The streets around the High Street and Douglas Way get busy on market days, and the residential roads near the Pepys Estate are narrow with cars parked both sides. A good number of the newer developments were built with limited resident parking, and some with none at all.
None of that has to be your problem. We bring our own van and our own loading team, so you don’t need a car, a driveway or a permit to store with us. We turn up in a smaller van rather than a removals lorry, which makes collection day look more like a supermarket delivery than a house move, and most Deptford collections are straightforward.
If there’s something worth knowing in advance, just tell us when you book and we’ll plan around it. That might be a permit-only bay outside, a gated entrance, a loading bay you can only use at certain times or a lift that’s out of action.

Belated review, but I wanted to acknowledge the professional help I received from JamVans with moving out, storage, and delivery earlier this year. Special thanks to Micheal W and Louise. They were very professional from the start, made me feel well taken care of, and answered all the questions I had. On the moving day, only one lift was working in the building and they worked tirelessly to collect all the items from the 15th floor. They also helped with disassembling the standing desks which seems little but it saved me a lot of time. I hope to meet them again when I move out (again) later this month. On that note, I would also like to thank Jake Arrowsmith-Watts for his help over the phone, patiently answering all my questions, and for his kindness throughout.
