No. Boxing up smaller belongings before we arrive helps, but nothing needs to be perfect. We bring the van, do the loading, and carry everything out for you. Furniture and larger items you can leave to us entirely. If you’re not sure where to start, just ask when you book.

Yes. You can ask for one or two things back at a time rather than having everything returned. What comes back is whatever we collected, so a box, a chest of drawers, a bike. It’s all logged on an inventory when it goes into storage, so you can tell us which box you want and we’ll bring that box back to you.

JamStorage is designed for customers who need storage for at least a few weeks. If you’re only after something very short-term, we might not be the right fit, but we’re always happy to talk it through. Give us a call and we’ll work out what suits you.

Yes. When you want your belongings back, we can return them to a different address from the one we collected from. That suits people who’ve moved in the meantime, or who are storing while a sale goes through. Just give us the new address when you arrange the return.

Pack into sturdy, uniform boxes wherever you can. Boxes of the same size stack neatly and take the weight of the ones above them, so you can build upwards and use the full height of your space rather than just the floor. Bags and holdalls do the opposite. They slump, lose their shape under anything heavy and won’t stack safely, so you end up with gaps and wasted room. Good boxes also keep what’s inside protected and easier to get to later. It’s worth using several smaller, labelled boxes rather than a few big ones, because when you ask for something back you’ll get the whole box. If you’d rather not pack yourself, we can bring materials on collection day and help you get sorted, and you only pay for what we use.

Yes. Flats carved out of Victorian terraces are the normal collection in N19, and our team is used to them. Communal front doors, half-landings, tight turns at the top of the stairs and no lift are all familiar on Junction Road and Archway Road. What helps is knowing in advance, so when you book, tell us the floor you’re on, whether there’s an entry code or a shared hallway, and whether anything bulky such as a wardrobe or a sofa needs to come down. The carrying is our job, not yours.

Yes, and it’s a common reason people in N19 get in touch. Rotations, secondments and relocations tend to arrive with awkward timing, and hospital shifts make it hard to sit at home waiting for a removals firm. We collect from your door at a time we agree with you, look after everything while you’re settled somewhere furnished or temporary, and deliver it to whichever address you end up at. If your dates shift, tell us and we’ll rework the return around them.
