Stratford Storage

A collection and delivery service is a cheaper alternative to a traditional storage unit. Instead of renting a room you have to drive to and visit yourself, you pay only for the space your belongings take up. JamStorage collects from your door in E15 and E20, stores everything securely, and returns it on request.

That model suits Stratford particularly well, because the area is built almost entirely from flats. Since the 2012 Olympics, the neighbourhood has filled with new developments: East Village in E20 on the former athletes’ village, Chobham Manor off Quartermile Lane, the Stratford Cross scheme by the Olympic Park, and a run of residential towers along Stratford High Street such as Capital Towers and Stratford Riverside. They are smart, well connected homes, but they were not designed with storage in mind. Renting here is not cheap either. Foxtons puts the average rental value across E15 at around £797 per week, so paying a premium for an extra bedroom to act as a box room rarely makes sense when you can store what you are not using instead.

Stratford also has a large and seasonal student population, and they are some of the people we help most. The University of East London has its Stratford campus on Water Lane in E15, and Loughborough University London is based at Here East in E20, inside the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
