The Everyday Size for Books, Kitchenware and More
This is the box that does most of the work in a move or a pack into storage. Books, plates, pots and pans, ornaments, files, small appliances, the things that fill a shelf or a cupboard. A medium box is sized for exactly that. It’s smaller than our large box, and that’s the point. Dense items get heavy quickly, so a smaller box keeps a full load at a weight you can actually carry.
Maximum weight: 20kg. Keep within that and it’ll take a full load comfortably.
Double Walled, So It Holds Its Shape
The box is double walled all the way round, not just at the base. Books are what finds out a weak box, and a single wall one can bow or give way long before it’s full. Double walls hold their shape instead, even stacked under other boxes, so long as you keep within the maximum weight above.

If it’s books, kitchenware or anything dense, reach for the medium box rather than the large one. A large box gives you more room, and with dense items that only means more weight in one lift. A full large box of books is too heavy to carry safely, double walls or not. Save the large size for the bulky, light things it’s built for, like bedding, towels and cushions. The medium box handles everything heavier.

FAQ
How many medium boxes will I need?
It depends on how much you’re packing, but books and kitchenware alone tend to fill more boxes than people expect. If you can, order a few extra rather than running short halfway through.
Can I use a large box for books and kitchenware instead?
We wouldn’t recommend it. A large box holds more, so a full one of books or kitchenware gets too heavy to carry safely, even with double walls. Keep dense items in a medium box and save the large size for bulky, light things like bedding and cushions.
Does it arrive built or flat packed?
Flat packed. Fold it up and tape it shut when you’re ready to use it.
